It's going to be weird, signing into here to write posts and to check up on people and stuff.
So the new vacuum works swimmingly; it's even picking up a fair amount of the cat hair off of the rug, along with all the other...debris.
This is a bigger thing than it sounds like, because between the stuff *I* track in and the litter the cats track around and the low pile being somehow amazing at getting stuff to stick to it like glue, the middle of my room is usually too disgusting to want to sit down on.
If I can't sit down, I can't do stretches, or lay out costuming projects.
The vacuum also makes getting all of the cat hair off of the stairs...well, not a snap, but like, 20 times easier than any other method. There's a similar domino effect with the stairs: trying to mop them when they are covered in cat hair and dirt debris is a lot more difficult (and a lot more disgusting) than when they're cleared of that. Knowing I have a relatively quick and simple route through the cleaning process is going to make me a lot more likely to tackle that cleaning process on a regular basis.
Having the right tools for a job really can make a world of difference.
I still have the last of my Tumblr stuff to deal with; the rug and the stairs aren't the only things getting cleared out tonight. Oi.
