Last night's scratchy throat turned into tonsils that felt like they were visible from Center City this morning; I skipped class to stay in bed with a heating pad and hot tea to try to cook the illness out of me. (Also, considering what kept creeping out of my throat every 5 minutes, I strongly suspect my teachers, fellow students, and the world at large would have preferred me to stay home, even though I was not head or stomach-sick and therefore would have been physically capable, if not comfortable, going out.)
I've been chipping away more at the data entry assignment, and watching bad movies (or parts of them) on Netflix. And then I discovered that the first season of Glee is now available Streaming, so I swapped to watching that. I'm halfway through ep 20 of season one, and I maintain that even if I didn't love the singing, the show would be worth watching for just the occasional appearances of Kurt's father.
The swelling in my throat (and the accompanying scratchiness) are mostly gone now, however, about the time those symptoms started to fade, mild joint and muscle aches rose up to take their place. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow having conquered the rest of the sicky-ness.
