lynatiThere is currently a 3' x 3' by 1' high pile of assorted (mostly) paper type objects between my computer chair and the dining room table; it looks like several years worth of a packrat's apocrypha has been vomited across floor. I'm going to sit here a moment and appreciate the accuracy of that metaphor.
Anyway, so yeah, I had one file box full of random stuff, and several drawers (three of the silver mesh Ikea rolling cart drawers and two from my old solid desk) that were piling up quite a mish-mash. Most of it goes back at least 6 years, back through college; some is from high school.
Some is from earlier than that, although most of the pre-college era stuff is confined to one file-folder box and two smallish plastic sweater boxes.
All the stuff that has been romping about in a veritable orgy of mixed files has now been corralled into one large pile, which I began to sort through earlier tonight.
Organization has freed up an entire 3-drawer Ikea cart, which will be a help for when I tackle cleaning up my studio space next week.
I don't think I ma going to finish this tonight, so I dredged up several more cardboard boxes to herd the mess into, so it doesn't swallow one of the cats tonight.
I've been up to a fair bit recently, the most recent of which is my head cold that makes me not want to spend too much time typing. Maybe I'll post about it this weekend, if I can wade through the paper piles in time.
