lynatiBeen up for about, oh, half an hour now; bedtime today was 6:30am. Which beats yesterday's 8am.
I spent both nights working on tweaking the layouts for parts of the prologue to Crossing The Line; Gunjack gave me feedback which led me to track down the normal version of the bolded font I was using (for whatever reason, bold italic was the only variant I had of it) and cutting the font size down to 9.5. Also, I think I'll be posting the pages at 96 dpi rather than 72; they still fit the site layout that way and are easier to look at.
Comicon was...alright. I was really looking forward to more of the sculpture panels that the people who do the sculpting for collectable figurines and such did last year; there were at least 3, maybe 4 different companies who held a panel about it over last weekened.
This year there were none. -_- So that disappointment kind of followed me around. There was a pretty awesome demo on digital coloring, though, and a few other fairly informative panels on layouts and whatnot. I missed the inking one because I got up too late. : P
But I got to hang out with my friends, which was great, and I hauled away about 30 pounds of graphic novels (not all were for me) including the first volumes of Girl Genius and Wet Moon, and much of The Runaways in pocket manga form- all at 25% off or more. Also, Eisa was looking to get rid of some clothes and about half of them fit me, so now I have the rest of the new pants I needed. : )
I still haven't sent out people's presents for the new year. I really ought to get on that.
Sculpture classes at Fleisher resumed on Tuesday (well, Tuesday before last, but it was snowing so hard I didn't go, and Wednesday I was just lazy) and last night, and I'm fairly happy with the starts I have on both figures. I might start taking and posting pics next week to show how they each progress.
And work finally decided to send me a new assignment today, yaye! 2 hours. Due by Saturday afternoon, which means Friday night since I'm going to be out of the house most of Saturday, between Yoga in the morning and hanging out with Naomi.
