Jul. 23rd, 2003 07:06 pm"So, does this place have internet access?"
"Nope. but the library nearby does, and if you say you are from oxbow, you get internet free...its about a ten minute bike ride."
of course, it was me who was riding the bike, so it took me, oh, about 40. Last timke I rode a bike was in middle school I think. and the seatb is too high on this one, which happens to be the only camp bike in working order.
internet allotment is 30 minutes, but you can go for seconds if no one else is using it. and there are about seven of them, lcd screens or soemthing. nice. FAST internet.
so, hello from Michigan.
oxbow so does rule. its like, camp wino. microbrewary tuesday, woo-hoo! cast glass all day...trying to get a copper and glass pectoral collar dealio cast. half-started today, and I bet I can get it cast tomorrow aftrnoon.
and we get full run of the metals workshop, and Alexis found where they were hiding the jewelers saws and blades. rock!
we went to the junkyard yesterday. 11 bucks I spent...they sell by the pound, and let me tell you, the amount of copper wire and flat sheets I got were worth FAR more than 11 bucks. or 30. or 50.
oh, and I finished straight through scene 14 now. typed, I bet I pumped 1-1 up by at least 6 pages. I have to create the next scene from whole cloth, since I'm changing things as I go to make for better flow, but once I get that and the very start to 16 done, I'll have it clear through at least 30 pages of fic. wheeee!
may type and post more in Norcumi's forum if the oppurtuinity presents. biking may a) give me a heart attack, b) cause me to throw up, or c) create such awful charlie horses in my legs that I can't walk tomorrow. we'll see.
also, library only open to 8 most weekdays, and less than that on fir, sat, and sun.
off to play catch-up now.
