I'm listening to country music now, namely because my preference of old, "alternative", has mostly morphed into muddy, boring, self-pitying crap these days. Not all of it, but the grand amount, and it all SOUNDS THE SAME to boot.
At least the current age country music has something worth saying 75% of the time, and is slowly morphing away from "western" style sounds and closer towards folk.

Read a dead-brilliant rant from Mara in her livejournal just now, but my rush of self-empowering feelings is being seesawed back to my "life is all unfair crap anyway" by Ethan's entries, since he should have people lined up around the block trying to hire him, not getting rejection letters.

Got about a page and a half written in "Contact" yesterday, albeit not on the problem scene I've been meaning to focus on.

Made it dead through #356 in the gargs archives, the total list currently up to #481. Next is Princess Alexandria. How depressing.

Need to get started on my first paper for my 60's class. and finish watching "look who's coming to dinner".

and I, in the words of the southern-accented singer on my radio right now, want to fly to a place where I'm loved.
