Made it safely out to my sister's place last night; she picked me up at the station and we immediately went shopping for thanksgiving supplies at Wegman's. We're starting prep work this morning because I was exhausted and went to bed at about 9pm last night.(And woke up with a pitbull on top of me, which is typical for visiting here. You don't even need to be asleep for it to happen.)

Squashes are not at all squishy. In fact, acorn squashes are apparently knife-proof. Natural predators and all that, I guess. ; )

Plans shifted a bit; we're not going to VA until Friday, and then we're headed back to PA that night, with me probably crashing at my sister's and headed back to town on Saturday.
