Jul. 6th, 2009 10:44 pmI think this has been one of the weirdest weeks of my life- most of it in a good way. And I'm still waiting to see how it all pans out before I put on my dancing shoes and hit the rooftops.
* The issue with Naomi's Hell Tenant was finally resolved, and the woman vacated the premises last Friday to some place apparently at least 500 miles away. The house is in far better condition than we had reason to expect, although she did take ALL of the appliances with her. (With the sole exception of the kitchen sink; she took the stove and the fridge and the washer and dryer, though.) We need to scrub it all down and fix some things that are mostly elements just of it being an old house, sand and repaint most of the rooms and the hallways and maybe reseal a couple of the floors, and get rid of what trash and odds and ends Hell Tenant did leave (mostly her kid's toys and a couple pieces of furniture). The only actual damage was in one of the bathrooms; it appears she tried to pry one of the fancy tiles out of the wall and gave up of breaking off about a third of it.
* Steph and Erik (and lain up in Canada as well) have both had, shall we say, far less luck concerning their living situations. Steph's I have permission to talk about here, and I will if I can find the time to type it all. If you haven't heard it already, it's a doozy. -_-
* Cross your fingers for me; I might have a job come November.This news just came tonight and is so unexpected and surreal that I can hardly believe I even have a shot at this opportunity, let alone that I might already have it by the favor of a friend of a friend. I don't even want to give any details less I jinx it. @_@
* ... yeah, this one I'm keeping quiet on for now too, again for fear of jinxing it or speaking too soon. ; )
* I had a dream two nights ago that I was being hunted by Velociraptors through a mall. Since I haven't watched Jurassic Park in over seven years, I am totally blaming this on XKCD.
* People besides me are actively working on TGS again. Heck, *I'm* actively working on TGS again. Woot.
...More to come on these stories as they progresses (hopefully the raptor one is done with), and when I am not dog tired. I've been up since this morning running on about three and a half hours sleep, as it took me over three hours to fall asleep in the first place. Guh. Also, muscle aches.
Tomorrow = Granma's 90th birthday = Me to Jersey = early train out to my sister so I can catch a ride = BED NOW even if I weren't exhausted to the point of silliness and loss of focus.
