Mar. 7th, 2007 08:19 pmIn addition to watching Naruto eps, I've been watching AMVs, some but not all of which are Naruto-centric. (Actually, most have been Shikamaru-Temari centric, but that's beside the point.)
There's a lot of vids out there that are very good, and a few that are equally as bad, and a great many more that are mediocre. What gets me are the ones where the song and the theme work really well, but the creator doesn't pick the best scenes to go with lyrics for which they should be obvious. Everyone's going to have an opinion of what is best, and my opinions are leaving me with the desire to track down the songs and get some footage and remake the vids as I would have liked to have seen them. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this sort of reaction, and I don't care if it is considered egotistical, but there's got to be more than one reason that YouTube has a "video response" setting so that you can "respond" to a specific video with a video of your own.
Plus, there's at least twenty different Naruto AMVs to Linkin Park's "Breaking the Habit", and some are in response to others, so there is kind of a precedent.
Of course, I'm not really set up for vid capture just now, and don't have the time to do it either. But if I had a good setup and proper software and a clone of myself, I know what I'd be wasting time on.
