Dec. 6th, 2006 12:50 amSo, a while back I had to disable sound in World of Warcraft because when I tried to talk to some NPCs the game would crash, something about a corrupted .wav file. No biggie since I don't have speakers and thus no way to listen to the sound - something is loose in the audio port and headphones would make the entire comp lock up if they got jiggled.
But I go to download the patch today, the first time my invisible "you turn it off but its still there" firewall has let me directly do so in the last 4 months, and it refuses to successfully apply the patch due to, yeah, a corrupted .wav file.
So now I have to de-install (2 seconds) re-install (several hours) all of WoW. Sarcastic Yaye.
Working on Shakedown, aka The Banana Shake, while I'm waiting. I'm on the first scene that I have to write from total scratch since it wasn't in the original outline or draft.
