Aug. 12th, 2004 03:28 amam tired, but the Vegas Con has already warped my fragile little mind...
Bachue: Dude, it was already that way.
...well...
Yeah.
So, I have a general layout for the scheduling done, and a ton of panel suggestions. And a wonder as to what it might entail to convince Dave Hopkins of "Jack" fame to come out for the con, and whether or not Chris and those actually in charge would go for it. [Obviously, Special Guests of the "we worked on the show" nature come first, but for all I know, he'd be willing to come out and do it for no form of reimbursement.]
AND I figured out how to make up schedules using the Microsoft Works Office. Emambu had to show me how to make the dialogue wrap for the longer phrases, though.
I also have a ton of stuff I need to poke Chris about, and Sapph as well if she's going to be handling more of the skedj. I sorta feel odd about agreeing to let her handle it; we need as much help as we can get but I *like* being in charge of the skeddjy. Among other power trips- er, among other things, that is- it lets me make sure that the panels I have to help with aren't opposite ones I'd chew off a finger to attend.
Bachue: Whose finger?
^_^
Bachue: ...riiiiiight.
Started working on my con journal. Typed two sentences. Continued to be overly snarky with Emambu while explaining why it is that nude life drawing should not, and is not, termed "Adult" life drawing. (The implications...that is just so wrong...I know he didn't realize what he was saying, but I found myself deeply offended regardless.)
...Although an OtherPanel on how to draw characters in sexual positions would be useful. There just would never ever be one of those where we would ask a live model to demonstrate them... (So....Wrong...ACK!)
and comes againa problem. some people said of NY that there were too many panels...too much to do.
Well, this year I heard far more complaints about there being too little.
What is the balance to strike?
What do you out there in TV-land prefer?
