So.
It's finally rolled over inside my head, about the Vegas con.
I wanted since I heard of it to help out; having done a con before and taken copious notes on *everthing* that needed to be done (except the art room) I had advice to give.
And I offered up advice, early on, and it was taken; and yet even after I was asked to be volunteer coordinator I didn't think of myself as staff.
And sometime yesterday morning, during class, I started to.
And so it begins.
I've made a new file folder for 2005 documents (of which there will be many; as I said, I take copious notes). I'm going to get a new Yahoo Account soon, to keep those emails separate.
And I am going to reccomend that the con email be the same as the updates list, because so many people reponded to the Update Address, completely ignoring the "if you have questions, write to HERE" that was at the end of every email, and those people weren't replied to for months.
Actually, chances are people will wind up writing to the old email as well. Bleh. No help for it, I guess. And the old is already a Ketnar account.
Working on the Calendar thing...one of my ideas. I am goign to make a list of all the ideas that are actually mine, this time, so that three years from now I can look at it, know for sure they were mine, and feel special.
Speaking of feeling special, as if it wasn't enough that Chris pinged me yesterday to let me know he'd decided to use an idea of mine about pre-reg that I'd suggested a few days prior (which I heartfully hope works)...Whitbourne called me a trout in chat! hee! (I'm such a fangirl.)
And I got Spike to agree to do the Calendar. (I happen to like her art, especially when she does ink-patterns under the watercolors. And I have heard all the arguements, and right now they all back up my decision, capiche?)
I've got to hit the next four artists on my list tonight...I looked up email addresses, now I have to write a new draft.
